2017 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX – RACE
Race day at Albert Park proved to be a challenging contest for the McLaren-Honda team. Both drivers started well off the grid, making up places in the opening laps. Fernando spent much of the race locked in a battle for 10th with Esteban Ocon but bodywork damage in the final laps ultimately denied him the points finish. Stoffel also encountered a problem with his steering wheel display, and had to drive a number of laps on instinct and race craft alone. The Belgian - celebrating his 25th birthday today - brought the No. 2 car home in 13th place.
