Accountant

Honda is looking for an Accountant to join our Milton Keynes based business to undertake key accounting tasks to support the month-end, year-end close process and maintaining the fixed asset register. The role will support and coordinate accounts payable query resolution between shared Service Centre and local departments. Review, process and code Associate expense claims.

Senior Applications Engineer 12months FTC

Honda Racing Development are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Senior Application Engineer for 12 months in their Milton Keynes office to be responsible for IT application support activities including maintenance, administration, second- and third-line support. They will work closely with the Service Desk to provide second and third line operational support and to ensure timely and efficient resolution of IT application-related incidents and service requests. Working with the IT Manager in implementing the company’s IT strategy, delivering business objectives and maintaining a stable application landscape. The role will ensure the development, maintenance and administration of the applications meets the business needs and follows the company’s policies and procedures. A high standard of communication and motivation is also required in what is a multinational, multicultural and exciting working environment and business travel (inside and outside of UK) as well as out of office hours & weekend working may be required for certain projects.

Controls System Engineer

Honda Racing Development is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team.  The purpose of the role is to develop on board control software for the ESS battery and other systems supporting Honda's Formula 1 programme in order to ensure that performance and reliability targets are met. This role is accountable for all aspects of ESS software from initial concept, simulation study and architecture to software development and verification including all the necessary tools, equipment and process.

Honda Racing Development is seeking a Battery Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team on a 24 months FTC.  You will work within the race car Energy Storage System (ESS) design project team and be responsible for the battery performance.

Development & Testing

ESS Engineer

The Energy Storage System Engineer will work within the Energy Storage System (ESS) development and production team.  The Energy Storage System Engineer will be responsible for the system level development of the primary high voltage circuit including battery system, battery management system and other subsystems, as well as fault investigation and setting countermeasures during ESS pack production stage or sign-off process. The role is also responsible for fault investigation of the ESS pack at factory, after races or test use, as well as addressing the countermeasures and conducting the follow up actions within the team.

CELL BLOCK PRODUCTION

ERS Test Engineer

Honda is seeking an ERS Test Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis based in Milton Keynes. The purpose of this role is to work within the Energy Recovery System (ERS) development and testing team, taking responsibility for component, subsystem and system level testing of primary high voltage circuit, inverter, dc-dc converter and overarching battery management system. It is responsibility of this engineer to define test procedures, test equipment and carry out analysis of test data to identify issues before they could occur at the track. Methodical approach to fault finding, troubleshooting and implementation of countermeasures is vital in this role. The initial focus of this role will be to support existing ERS test facilities, however, there are opportunities to devise and commission new test equipment.

Software Engineer - 6 months Contractor

The purpose of the role is to develop the software for the ESS battery and other systems supporting Honda’s Formula 1 programme in order to ensure that performance and reliability targets are met. This role has a responsibility to update the tool API for the battery development and race support tool. The role will be required to liaise with development teams in Honda-Sakura the supplier and to deliver software according to the schedule defined by Honda management.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

High Voltage System Engineer

The role of High Voltage System Engineer is based within the Energy Storage System (ESS) development project. The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the system level design and development of the primary power electronics units including inverter, converter (high voltage DC to low voltage DC) other subsystems (e.g. contactor, fuse that in HV circuit) as well as fault investigation and setting countermeasures during the ESS pack production stage or sign-off process. HV System Engineer is also responsible for fault analysis and investigation of the ESS pack at factory after races or test use, addressing any consequent countermeasures and conducting the following action within the team.
