Eight days of pre-season testing came to an end today and in exactly two weeks’ time, the twenty Formula 1 cars will be taking to the track in Albert Park for the first free practice session of the Australian Grand Prix and indeed, of the season.
Over eight very busy days at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, helped by good weather – remember last year’s snow? – Honda PUs completed a total of 1768 laps. That’s equivalent to 8230.04 kilometres. Of the two Honda teams, Scuderia Toro Rosso did the most running, with 935 laps, split between Alex Albon (500) and Daniil Kvyat (435.) For Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, the total was 833 laps – Pierre Gasly (395) and Max Verstappen (438.)
