BRAZILIAN GRAND PRIX - RACE
The McLaren-Honda team wrapped up a largely positive Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, with more points taken from Sunday’s race. Starting P6 on the grid, Fernando Alonso was always in the hunt for a points paying position. He spent most of the Grand Prix locked in a battle for 7th with home favourite, Felipe Massa. Massa just edged the battle, with Alonso crossing the line in P8, only 0.4 seconds behind his Brazilian ex-teammate. In the other MCL32 car, Stoffel Vandoorne’s race was over almost as soon as it began. Starting the race in P12, he was shunted off track going through the Senna chicane on lap 1. He suffered race-ending damage in the process and was forced to retire. The team now looks to the final race of the 2017 season, at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.
