BRITISH GRAND PRIX - RACE
The McLaren Honda team left the 2017 British Grand Prix empty handed, with Stoffel Vandoorne finishing just outside the points and Fernando Alonso forced to retire. Both drivers showed good pace in the race, with Alonso making up several places in the early laps, to run in P13. Unfortunately, his day was cut short due to a fuel pressure issue, leaving Vandoorne in the mid-field fight. With the Spec 3 Honda power unit in the back of his MCL32, the Belgian driver was able to keep pace with the cars around him but he was unable to find a way past on the fast flowing track. He bought the car home in P11 and agonisingly close to his first points-scoring position of the season.
